Boy Scouts

This rank represents your first step on the Scouting trail. Tenderfoot was obtained by learning the basics of Scouting.

This rank represents the second step in your Scouting experience. You have earned the rank of Second Class by gaining a better idea of the skills you need for Scouting and your life beyond Scouting.

This rank represents a significant step in Scouting.  You have advanced to First Class by learning the outdoor skills of Scouting.

By meeting your Star Scout Requirements, you have left the group of those who merely receive in Scouting. Tonight you will join a more significant group – those whose duty and privilege it is to give Scouting to others.  You have started learning about service, leadership, and responsibility.

The Life Scout badge is the only rank badge that has a symbol from INSIDE the scout – a heart. Being a Life scout means you have taken the ideals of Scouting to heart and have made them part of you.
